-Distance to beat: 38,137 km (23,697.19 miles) by Rainer Zietlow, Florian Hilpert, Falk Gunold, Franz Janusiewicz (all Germany) with a Volkswagen Caddy EcoFuel using natural gas - 15 October 2006

-The Second attempt was underway in November 12th, 2009 where they drove 175 days taking Tyson Jerry along with Cloe Whittaker into the Guinness world record books on May 4th 2010. The entire journey spanning 255 days took Driven to Sustain into 3 different countries, 6 provinces, 2 territories, and over 35 states. Whittaker and Jerry visited hundreds of schools across the continent speaking to over 10,000 students in person and tens of millions on the airwaves and print in North America about environmental sustainability.
